Repair
EMC offers complete contaminated motor & pump service,
including the capability to perform full scope refurbishment
and rewind of Reactor Coolant Pump motors and Reactor Recirc
Pump motors.
EMC provides a state-of-the-art repair facility
and experienced refurbishment staff and the
decontamination facility and expertise for handling contaminated
components.

EMC has the capability to receive, disassemble, clean, refurbish and/or repair, coat, and test radiologically contaminated motors. EMC is licensed by the State of Virginia to possess and use radioactive material, allowing EMC to perform work on any of the contaminated motors in the nuclear industry.
EMC works under a NUPIC audited 10CFR50 Appendix B Safety-Related
quality program and is periodically audited by NUPIC as is
required.
EMC has been a vital contributor to EPRI’s Environmentally
Qualified Insulation System program, which was completed early
in 2006. Due to EMC’s involvement in the qualification
process for this project, we are fully licensed to use the
EPRI insulation system for inside and outside contamination
